Parent Cue: Tech Talk

As part of our Kirk Family Ministry plan, The Kirk will feature parent seminars on relevant issues challenging today’s families. Our first seminar will be Parent Cue: Tech Talk, and it is intended to help your family navigate our digital world and the impact technology has on all of us.

Parent Cue: Tech Talk will be held on February 24 at the Kirk Crossing campus from 6:00-8:00 p.m. At the Kirk of the Hills campus, it will be held on March 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Our featured speakers are Stephenie and Todd Craig and this program is open to all adults.

Todd and Stephenie Craig are native Tulsans with a passion for helping others on the journey to being well. They have been married 17 years and have 3 boys, 13, 11, and 6. Together the Craig’s founded Journey Bravely Counseling & Coaching to provide individuals, families, and couples with resources to get well, live well, and give well in life.

Todd pastored 18 years at Asbury and has spent the last year executive pastoring the Cornerstone church plant in Midtown. Todd is also a Birkman certified life and leadership coach.

Stephenie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing counseling for 15 years and is currently in private practice at Journey Bravely in Midtown. Stephenie also provides parent coaching.

The Craig’s love equipping others to live into God’s story and look forward to knowing you.

Chili Cook-Off and Hot Dog Lunch @ Kirk Crossing

Calling all great chili masters! Come enter your favorite/best recipe for all to taste and enjoy at Kirk Crossing on Sunday, March 3. We encourage you to enter your favorite chili recipe for all to taste and enjoy.

We are also asking families to bring items assigned by last name for the hot dog lunch:

  • A- F: hot dog buns

  • G-R: hot dogs

  • S-Z: a bag of chips

You can bring the items the day of the event or drop them off ahead of time at the Information Center. We will also have baked items for sale, raffle prizes, and a silent auction to benefit our kids that are in the 2nd-6th grade that are going to summer camp this year. Cash and check donations will only be accepted for the bake sale and raffle prizes.

GriefShare is a grief support group that seeks to provide help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. The weekly meetings (held on Tuesday evenings) include a video seminar and small group discussion. A workbook is provided to reinforce the weekly session topics. Cost is $15 to cover the workbook cost. Scholarships are available. The meetings will begin Tuesday, February 19 and will run through Tuesday, May 28.

WOW (Women of Worth)

Women of Worth begins our second semester studying The Life of Moses on Monday morning, January 7, and Wednesday evening, January 9, both at the Kirk of the Hills campus.  

Covering the years between God's gift of the Law at Mt Sinai, to Moses' first sight of the Promised Land from Mt Nebo and his subsequent death, it is a story of victories and failures, and lessons in leadership and follower-ship.  Through the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, we see the actions of a saving God who is shaping a people for His work and purposes using an ordinary man, Moses, who has learned to excel in trust and follow-through.

Monday morning WOW includes refreshments, music, live lecture, small group discussion, child care (with signup) from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday night WOW includes a video lecture and small group discussion from 6:15 - 7:45 p.m.
