Willow Springs Work Weekend
We have a wonderful opportunity for a local mission project coming up April 26 & 27 at Willow Springs Boys Ranch. Willow Springs is a boys ranch that models the transformational love of Jesus Christ to boys in need, at-risk, or in a family crisis. They offer a safe, nurturing, structured family-style environment. The staff at the ranch work with the boys to develop character, responsibility and self-discipline so that they may successfully navigate the challenges of life.
Volunteers can go out Friday afternoon starting at 3:00 on April 26, and begin work projects. We will stay in the Jacob’s Ladder bunk houses (on the Willow Springs property) divided up by male and female. We can accommodate any working age person, male or female, young or old, so long as the person can contribute to work and can sleep in the bunk house in a bunk bed (infants and toddlers will be too young).
We have arranged for a food truck for the participants to purchase meals for dinner Friday night, and will come up with some programming in the evening that will help better acquaint people with the Willow Springs Family. Saturday morning, we will cook breakfast in the gymnasium and then continue work projects through the remainder of the day, planning on dismissing everyone to be home before dark Saturday evening after perhaps pizza from a local Chandler restaurant. Click on the button below to register for the weekend.
WOW (Women of Worth)
Women of Worth are studying The Life of Moses on Monday mornings and Wednesday evenings both at the Kirk of the Hills campus.
Covering the years between God's gift of the Law at Mt Sinai, to Moses' first sight of the Promised Land from Mt Nebo and his subsequent death, it is a story of victories and failures, and lessons in leadership and follower-ship. Through the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, we see the actions of a saving God who is shaping a people for His work and purposes using an ordinary man, Moses, who has learned to excel in trust and follow-through.
Visitors and newcomers are welcome. Please let us know you are coming by registering through the respective link below, or calling the church office at 918.494.7088. Spots for Monday morning childcare are reserved through pre-registration by clicking on the respective link below.
