The Kirk Music Ministry
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." Psalm 150:6
Psalm 150:6 is at the heart of our music ministry. Whether at Kirk of the Hills or Kirk Crossing, our shared purpose is to praise God and lead His people in worship every time we gather in God's house. Our worship is more than just what happens on Sunday morning. We worship the Lord through our passions and talents each and every day. When we gather each week as a body of believers we experience the overflow of walking with the Lord that lasts us all the days of our lives. From the youngest child to the most senior member, every person in our community strives to be lifelong worshiper of Jesus Christ.
Our music ministry is a vital part of The Kirk’s shared mission.
Our Traditional Choir is the leading ensemble for The Kirk of the Hill's worship. This group of talented musicians and devoted Christians glorify God through singing and instrumental music. Additionally, the Traditional Choir performs with an orchestra and brass ensemble throughout the year. They sing in the 9:00 a.m. service at Kirk of the Hills. Everyone is invited and encouraged to sing with the Traditional Choir! If you are interested in joining, please contact Meridith Matson.
The Kirk's Handbell Choir performs at the Kirk of the Hills campus periodically throughout the year. The bells provide a unique and sacred element to our worship.
Membership is open to everyone. Music reading skills are helpful, but not required. If you are interested in joining the Handbell Choir, please contact Terry Cast.
The bands at Kirk of the Hills and Kirk Crossing incorporate drums, guitars and more to create an exciting, powerful atmosphere for our contemporary worship services. This team of musicians and vocalists has a passion for creating inspiring music while sharing God's grace. Our contemporary worship bands help lead His people to enjoy His presence and glorify His name. At the Kirk of the Hills campus, The Kirk’s Contemporary band plays at the 10:30 service. At the Kirk Crossing campus, the Contemporary Band plays at both services, 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. If you are interested in learning more about the Contemporary Worship Bands, please contact Meridith Matson.
