The Kirk is a big group of people. We've learned that the best way to get to know each other is in smaller groups. Kirk Small groups follow the biblical model in Acts 2. The early church gave themselves to study, teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. And they gave to one another as they had need. Because of this commitment, they added to their numbers daily. It's clear that God blesses when we meet together, fellowship together, study together—share life together. Small groups allow us to include people in our own neighborhoods or area of influence and share true community.

Change conjures up a wide variety of responses for most of us but when you think about it, anything that is not changing is lifeless! Beginning July 4th, our pastors will be preaching through a 5-week sermon series, Dying for a Change. This series will examine why change is necessary in the church using Christ Jesus’ message to the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3 as a foundation.
To accompany this sermon series and to assist you in applying these principles to your life, we will be offering a 5-week small group experience in conjunction with this sermon series. Small group curriculum will include a teaching DVD by Senior Pastor Tom Gray. If you would like to participate in a summer small group beginning the week of July 4th and ending the week of August 1st, be sure to sign-up for a group today by calling Tammy at 494-7088 or email tgill@thekirk.com.
