Kirk Mission Trips
Our mission statement says that we are to mature in our faith, minister to those in need and make a difference in lives so that all may know Jesus Christ. Missions is no different. As you mature in your faith, minister to other and making a difference is about changing lives and stretching yourself. on most mission trips, you will stretch not only your faith but your life. If you would like to know how you can get more involved in Kirk missions or what trip is right for you, we have created different levels colored like a stoplight to help make this more understandable.

Green Level Mission Trips
Green – Means Go! These trips are designed for anyone in the congregation who would like to participate in missions. This is a great place to start. They are places where the Kirk has a long-standing relationship with the mission agency and the conditions will be more controlled. All church members are welcome to apply for these trips and a large portion of any team in this category will be made up of first time short-term mission participants.
Yellow Level Mission Trips
Yellow – Means Pause... These trips are the next level of challenge in cross cultural experiences. The travel may be longer and more demanding, the living conditions a bit more uncomfortable and the spiritual climate more challenging. Less people on these trips will be first timers but that does not mean that this trip is not for you - Pause and pray.
Red Level Mission Trips
Red – Means Stop. Mission trips in this category are not to be taken lightly. They are to places in the world that are difficult and resistant to the Gospel. God, however, calls some of us to go to these places so that the Great Commission can be some day completed. If you feel called to go on one of these trips, you must speak with the mission committee and be invited to join the team. This is not the level at which to begin, but may be a goal for those who have short-term mission experience.
