Special Needs Ministry

God created everyone to be loved and to worship him. The Kirk offers a unique special needs ministry that allows children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families to attend church activities.
We are committed to serving and empowering them to become vital members of the body of Christ. We focus on helping our typical congregation along with our friends with disabilities grow together in love for each other as well as all of us growing our love and service to God.
Your children are important to us at Kirk of the Hills. Special Buds are adults and teenagers from the Kirk who lovingly share their time and faith with children from our congregation with developemental disabilities. In addition to addressing the needs of the children, the program also allows the children's parents to attend Sunday School and an 11:00 am worship service.
There are many activities for children to be involved in spiritually and socially.
On Sunday mornings we have "Special Buds", and on Wednesday evenings we have classes for children with developmental disabilities while their parents also attend classes. You might want your children to participate in our monthly respite program called "Friday Night Owl's." Whichever program your children are in, you can be assured they will be shown God’s love and care.
