In 1961, 100 people came together to form Kirk of the Hills. From the beginning, the Kirk’s focus was to reach our community. By the early 1990s there were thousands of members. In September of 1992, the Session voted to expand our reach by building an additional campus.
Now, many years later, the Lord has opened up many doors to make this vision a reality.
Our plan is for one church in two locations, to engage a fast growing community in Jenks. You have all witnessed the development of new housing and retail businesses along highway 75. This is where our Kirk Crossing campus will be. It is our hope to build an inviting community with Kirk Crossing at the center.
We believe this new property is God’s gift to us. We want to use it for His purpose!
This campus would incorporate retail businesses and services designed to complement the community where kids could come learn and play, and adults could come to gather.
Now almost 5 decades later, those faithful few who brought the Kirk into being have provided us the opportunity to build upon their good work and expand the kingdom for Christ’s sake.
This is an exciting time for the Kirk and our future growth.
