Has anyone ever described you or one of your siblings as the “black sheep” of the family? This week we look at the story of the prodigal son. Is there a possibility that you may be more like one of the two sons than you would like to believe or have you found the blessing in loving, enjoying and serving God for his own sake?
This week we look at two parables Jesus uses to reveal that God’s character is to love lost people, not religious people. What change of heart does Jesus want the religious people to have? What difference might this change of heart make in their lives?
How does focusing on Jesus rather than ourself help define our faith? Would you say that you have given Jesus the steering wheel of your life, that you are still driving but that Jesus is in the passenger’s seat, or that Jesus is still outside waiting to be invited into your car?
