If you had more time to do something, what would it be?
I would like to finish my basement remodel.
What is your passion?
My passion is to share the joy and blessing of music.
How old were you when you realized you were destined to be a choir director?
I began directing choirs at 19. I knew at that point that church music would always be part of my life.
What is an interesting fact about you?
I began my college education as a pre-med major. I changed my major to music education the next year.
What is one thing that has challenged you lately?
I work as an arts administrator in a large school system in addition to directing traditional music at the Kirk. I actually enjoy working through the challenges and opportunities of both!
What is something about you that not everyone would know?
I sang with Schola Cantorum from the University of Arkansas and toured Europe with that internationally recognized choir.

What is the weirdest job that you have had?
De-beaking turkeys
What family traditions do you maintain?
Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, celebrated with full family if possible.
Have you ever won any type of contest or competition?
When I was in the first grade I received the top award over students in grades 1-12 in a school talent contest. The song was "O Promise Me."
What is your best memory?
A full week in Maui, Hawaii with Lanelle on our 25th anniversary
What are you passionate about?
Sharing God's word through music.
Where are some of the places you have traveled to?
England, France, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Germany.
How did you meet your wife?
I met my wife at church youth camp.
Tell us about your family.
My heritage is ministers. My great great grandfather, my great grandfather, my grandfather, and my father were ministers. My immediate family includes LaNelle and me, four children, one grand niece, six grandchildren (plus twins who will arrive in August.)
