Andrea Walker
What are you passionate about?
I'm passionate about most forms of artistic expression, including music, poetry, painting and sculpting. There is a distinct connection with God through the creative process which I have been unable to find elsewhere in my life. Art provides me a universal language to share the gospel across cultural boundaries and differences.
What would you do if you had more free time and more money?
I would love to be more involved with volunteering for community outreach programs and foreign missions. Having the time and financial ability to do so would allow me the privilege of setting an example for my children of serving others. I want them to understand the importance of looking past our minor inconveniences, in order to be the hands and feet of Christ.
What lessons in parenting have you learned?
My children have taught me that there are more important people than myself to love and pray for in this life. I have learned true compassion, patience, and how to have a sense of humor in embarrassing situations. Also, I've learned that it is worthless to simply instruct my children to obey. It is my responsibility to model the behavior that I expect them to display.
