Amy Shackelford
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
There are two places in the world I would like to go. The first place is Israel. I would love to see the Bible come to life, and visit so many of the places that I have learned about through studying God’s word. I would also like to go back to Ghana, Africa and spend time with my friend Lillian and serve at her school.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about people serving the Lord with all their hearts and fulfilling the calling that the Lord has on their lives. I am also passionate about people coming to know Christ and seeing the church minister to the needs of the community and caring for the hurting, sick, poor, and suffering.
What would you do if you had more free time and more money?
I would spend more time developing the ministry of Pathways. I believe the Lord has big things planned for Pathways and I love being a part of the journey. With more money, I would donate it to Pathways to help expand the number of students we serve. I would also want to open a store for our students to work at and display their artistic talents.
How did you meet your husband?
My husband and I met through Campus Crusade for Christ. He became interested in me when I was speaking about reaching out to international students. When he introduced himself to me I was struck by his love for the Lord and how handsome he was. Our first date we went running together and from there, it was history!
