6th Grade
Welcome to Riley!
What is Riley? It is a transitional 6th grade ministry @Kirk of the Hills that serves as a bridge between the elementary and youth ministries.
Sundays @ Kirk of the Hills
6th graders meet in the Dog Pound (Room B22) at 9:30 a.m.for prayer, fellowship and Bible-focused lesson and discussion time. The current curriculum is called “Dare to be a Daniel” which features motivating video, lively activities, great preteen discussion starters, an online website for home use and more!
Wednesdays @ Kirk of the Hills
Riley small groups meet on Wednesday nights.
Riley Ruckus Night
Riley Ruckus Nights are a fun, social events for Riley kids to go out together to awesome places like Incredible Pizza and Laser Quest, or to enjoy a cookout and movie night in "The Dog Pound." Every summer, Riley kids go to different homes for "swim and scripture" get-togethers in Riley family homes. At Christmas they celebrate with an awesome Christmas party. Through these events, Riley kids bond with each other and form strong Christian friendships that will carry them through their youth years.
Riley Mission Projects
In keeping with the Kirk vision to "mature, minister and make a difference," Riley kids serve the church and community through a variety of missions projects. These projects vary from clean-up work around the church, planning events for area boys’ and girls’ homes, raising money to benefit Kirk supported missions and donating much needed items to these organizations.
Summer Swim & Scripture
Join us during the summer at homes for swimming and scripture nights. Contact Carrie Lund if you have a question or to RSVP. Hope to see you there and parents, if you can help supervise either party, please let us know!
