Meet Dan Bair
Dan Bair is our Missions Pastor. He leads Bible studies, mission trips and Sunday school classes. Dan is fluent in Spanish and was a missionary in Costa Rica.

Dan Bair grew up in south New Jersey. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education (1988) and a Masters of Divinity from Columbia Biblical Seminary, in Columbia, South Carolina (1997). Dan was called to be a missionary when he was challenged through IVCF to spend a summer in Costa Rica. Dan at that time didn’t speak Spanish at all. The Lord would provide and help him. Dan felt God’s call and worked as a teacher for a year and half teaching English. Dan has felt God’s call to missions most of his life and he exemptfies that here at the Kirk.
Dan’s favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 which helps believers know that God realizes your fears and concerns and you can accomplish anything if you trust his plan. That encompasses Dan’s vision which is to have a desire to see people mobilize into the unreached portions of the world including from the churches in the United States and Latin America.
Dan Bair and his wife Leda first became acquainted with the Kirk when they received mission teams from the church as long-term missionaries in Costa Rica. After working in pastoral training and coordinating mission outreach for fourteen years, Dan felt called of the Lord to return to the United States to be involved in what God was doing in and through Kirk of the Hills. Currently he serves as the Pastor of missions and discipleship and enjoys the chance to teach the Bible and motivate people to get involved in world missions. Dan’s wife, Leda, is a Costa Rican and they have a daughter in elementary school named Gabby.
Dan enjoys wood working, spending time with his family and experiencing other cultures. Dan has passion for all of life. He has two passions that he is just amazing to see and listen to. Those two passions for ministry are missions and teachings. He wants to help everyone understand the bible and apply it to their lives. He desires to make the Bible exciting to all.
