History

Women of Worth began in 2004 with a vision to provide a Bible Study to Kirk women that would facilitate study, friendship and fellowship, especially between the generations of women at The Kirk.  WOW has since expanded to include women of all ages from the entire Tulsa area community.

Lynette Hardy

Lynette Hardy is passionate about the Women of Worth ministry because she believes that studying the Bible is such an important key to spiritual growth.

She is the daughter and granddaughter of Presbyterian pastors, as well as wife of the Kirk's Senior Pastor, Dr. Wayne Hardy.  She and Wayne met while attending Sterling College, and they married during his first year of ministry in Littleton, CO.  Their two now-grown sons were born in Minnesota where Wayne served in his second church.  The Hardy's have made The Kirk their home for 26 years, and Lynette has come to love her Kirk family like her own.

Lynette loves spending time with her family, which now includes a beautiful daughter-in-law.  She also enjoys road trips, hiking the Ozarks, sitting on a porch with a good book, and antiquing.
Her heroes in faith are: her mother and grandmothers; Joni Eareckson Tada (founder of Joni and Friends disability ministry), Ruth Bell Graham and Henrietta Mears.
